In a letter signed by Bello ElRufai, Senator Uba Sani's chief of staff, made available to Kaduna Political Affairs, the Senator stated that Mallam Yamusa Rigasa was suspended for gross misconduct, insubordination, and a blatant violation of the core values and policies of his office.

The letter read "This letter is to inform you that you are hereby suspended from your appointment without pay indefinitely. Your suspension takes effect immediately and will end when you receive a notification to resume.

You are being suspended for gross misconduct, insubordination, and a blatant violation of the core values and policies of this office. You have received previous warnings for this violation but have failed, refused and/or neglected to heed these warnings.

The Purpose of this suspension is to impress upon you the seriousness with which we regard the violations of appointment and to give you the opportunity to reflect upon your future compliance with our appointment standards. Your conduct constitues sufficient cause for the disciplinary action of suspension without pay.

One more violation of the conditions of your appointment will result in termination. This letter serves as your final warning and a copy would be placed in your personal file.

If you fail to return to work either when recalled or at the end of the suspension without proper notification and/or with an acceptable reason for not returning as scheduled, we will assume that you have resigned your position."
