OPINION: The insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole will linger, if the security agencies are not properly treated and taking care of, By Fidelix J. Bagudu

The Federal Government needs to step into this issue and resolve it once and for all.
The federal government needs to boost the moral of Security agencies so that they can commit more on the job and do it well. Everyone of them thinks about their families, when they are on duty. Thinking if anything happens to them on duty, what will happen to their families?
Who will take care of them?

Here is a little analysis of a constable's Salary, the new Salary that was Approved by the President, which took effect on the 1st of November 2019, is as follows:
Constable 11 is 84,000
Constable 1 is 88,000

Now let's talk about how the Money would be used.

List of expenses:
1) Children's school fees (depending on their numbers)
2. House Rent (depending on his duty Location)
3.Transportation to place of duty.
4. Health.
5. Feeding.
6).Wardrobe.

This is applicable to other security agencies.
Now let's look at other agencies/parrastatals  like the CBN and NNPC, etc. Their salaries are far above that of the Security agencies, even though the lives of our security operatives is at more risks. What can 88,000 do to a constable with nothing less than 6 major responsibilities? The insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole will linger if the security agencies are not properly treated and taking care of. Take a look at how Security agencies in other countries are treated, you will understand that our own is a huge joke.
