The decision taken by the present administration to increase petroleum pump price and the tariff on electricity is uncalled for, says Isa Ashiru Kudan

A former Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna State, Rt. Hon.Isa Ashiru Kudan, has said that the decision taken by the federal government to increase petroleum pump price and the tarrif on electricity is uncalled for, adding that it will immensely increase the hardship experienced by Nigerians.

Using his official Facebook page; he said, "The decision taken by the present administration to increase petroleum pump price and the tariff on electricity is uncalled for. This is however coming at a time that Nigerians need help as we’re just coming out of lockdown, the so called hike in price would immensely increase hardship to common man as the said decision would definitely affect every sector of the economy, this is totally not what Nigerians expect and is totally unacceptable.
You may recall that Nigeria’s border has been closed for quite a long while, that decision has overtime tremendously affected the prices of commodities. In a sane society, Policies that are  populace driven should be implemented after due consultations of the said Populace. Nigerians needs to be carried along on decisions that are and for Nigerians. In essence, this Administration needs to take the Interest of Nigerians along at all times in making any decision.
Nigerians are  not happy, One needs not to be told that Nigerians are frustrated and many are depressed as a result of the stance taken by this administration on many aspects.
In the Agricultural Sector, Fertilizer is yet to reach majority of farmers, this is at a time when these farmers are in dire need of Fertilizer for their farm products as it’s mid rainy season. The Present Administration should not forget its promises in revamping the sector. If the needful is not done, it’ll definitely affect the Production of food items this year and the coming one.
The Government needs to act Now!"
