The protest against the incessant killings in Southern Kaduna has been cancelled after security operatives threatened to arrest the protesters.
The protest which was scheduled to take place at Peugeot junction, opposite television garage, witnessed the presence of armed security operatives who came out in mass to send the protesters home.
One of the protesters who spoke with our correspondent, said they wrote a letter to the state's commissioner of police, informing him of the protest. They got a reply, granting them the permission to carry on. But to their greatest surprise, security operatives came out in mass to stop the protest, stating that there is a ban on protest in Kaduna state, so whoever is found protesting would be arrested.
The protesters who said they are law abiding citizens, said they'll return to their various destinations in order for peace to reign.
