OPINION: Governor Elrufai should tell us how much he paid our Southern Kaduna leaders in order to sit for the peace Accord, By Dejang Thomas

Your Excellency governor Nasir of kaduna state kindly answer the below questions.

Recently, the chief security officer of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Malam Nasiru Elru-fai applauded the peace accord signed by the conflicting parties in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area. Sir, on this, I am with you, because as we all know, peace is the altar of progress with which without, no people can thrive.

However, if we could talk about this, I would like to ask you two questions. Only two questions sir.

One: in one of your speeches, you asserted that those attacking the Southern Kaduna people are aggrieved people on retribution, and you have since met them and paid them to stop the attacks. Sir, my first question is not to ask you how you delivered the money to them, or where you met them for the delivery, or even exactly how much you paid them to stop the carnage. My first question is to know if they are the ones that our elders sat with and signed the peace accord with, or those they sat with them are another group, which if so, then nothing progressive was actually done so far.

Two: I understand that you recently projected our leaders to be very insensitive and highhanded, that they don't allow peace to reign unless they are handed brown envelopes. Your Excellency, please, could you tell us how much you offered them this time around to sit for this peace accord and how many of them did you give the brown envelopes, and where? Or can we just shout a "hallelujah" for the newness of life in our elders?

As one of the bonified indigenes of Kaduna State and a local of Southern Kaduna, I hope this gets to you and my questions answered. Thank you and may God treat you and your descendants the same way you administer good governance to the people of Southern Kaduna.
